    Default not hard biting

heyo! ive got a 5-6 month old baby that is pretty much perfect, hes sweet and friendly and loves to be petted. takes food from hand and comes when called. the only thing is when he jumps on me (female) he goes straight to my forearm and "nibbles" on my arm, elbow and fingers. ive booped him a couple times (not hard) on the head and told him no and even brushed him off of me. but every time he gets on me he goes right for that. hes not biting down or putting any force so it doesnt hurt but i dont want him to think its ok and start biting down harder. also he doesnt do that to my husband.
is this a territory thing? a growing up thing? male thing?
any suggestions on getting him to stop?

Mine does this a lot. Not sure if it's territorial, but I know that sometimes it's the salts from my skin that she is nibbling off. I noticed her propensity to do this increased after I'd been at the gym, sweating. Sometimes the nibbles seem affectionate.

Other times she bites is when she wrestles. I let her nibble, and I even let her play bite, unless it begins to hurt, then I make a loud "uh-uh" sound and she decreases the pressure of the bite.

I'm not particularly inclined to get her to stop any behaviors that don't physically hurt me, personally.

OMG! I've got a male that does the same thing. He started gently preening my knuckles, but a couple of times he's bit hard enough to draw blood. It's not an attack, and he doesn't do it to my husband, at least not the same way. I never thought to ask the question, because I thought it was just his personality. We have his brother who doesn't do it and is just more gentle all the way around.

Oh yes. Mine does this too. The soft webbing. She does get carried away and accidentally bite too hard there. She also likes toes and both finger and toenails. Except she doesn't just preen those. I swear she wants to eat my toes.

But yeah, she nibbles my skin a lot. Wrists, palms, back of hands, hand webbing, arm, ear, whatever's closest. Haha.

She did groom my hair once, for like, 10 straight minutes. It was the best ever.
