    Risu,

Nature is harsh and sometimes cruel to wild animals but honestly, that's the animal kingdom. For the past year, you help this momma squirrel in so many ways and now I can understand why she was so friendly and trusting of you. You did a good deed!

Many wild squirrels here disappear for several days when its rainy and cold. (it does not get below freezing here) I find my special squirrel Ms. Mo skips days when she chews on her shoulder abscess or needs to improve her tree house. Then out of the blue, she comes, tapping on the back door. I would not be surprised if Ms. Katie shows up again. If not, you gave her the best a human can give; help to survive and your love to her. Regardless of what happens, she is thankful for your efforts.

    Hi Mr SSG,

Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately she hasn't come back in over a week and it's been very cold so I think there's quite a big possibility that she's passed away. Thank you and everyone else again for all your help, I hope I was able to provide some comfort for her in her final days here.

    Risu,

For sure, you show her great love and compassion to help when she needed it most.

We can never be sure what happens. My favorite squirrel Ms. Mo goes missing for days and sometime a week while she chews on her abscess. In nature, many times animals find ways to survive with their sickness and injuries. We can only hope for the best. I do not want to close this case just yet so lets give it some more time.
