    Default Marking on squirrel head?

There is a bald spot/ marking on my 7 week old squirrel’s head. Does anyone know what this is or means? Name: IMG_9629.jpg

That is a very strange pattern which i've never seen before. I'm thinking parasite of some kind...mites, for example. Try washing the area with a mild solution of Betadyne diluted to the color of weak tea. Do it twice daily for a few days and see if new hair begins to grow in.

She has already been treated with Capstar because she was covered in fly strike when I found her. Would the Capstar take care of mites?

    Please follow island rehabber's recommendation.

Just checking: Is the area raised with a border edge to it? Does it detent when you touch it lightly, or is is flat?
Should it enlarge like a lump and becomes soft, likely then it would be an abscess.

For sarcoptic mange mites, use the Regular (not plus) Revolution for kittens pink label (O to 5 lb. )

This is the box, not the company to order it from.

Sorry I don't have the link anymore. (Canada pharmacy); "Spanky" may have a copy of the original link I had posted.
