Exclamation Bactrim dosing - really need help

My girl is five years old and definitely has a UTI. She’s had discharge for a few days and some blood in her pee. It’s been a few years since this last happened and for the life of me I can’t remember how to figure out dosing.

She’s on the smaller side - she does not approve of my picking her up lol she destroyed a tendon in my little finger last summer when I tried to pick her up so I’m not inclined to force it when she’s feeling lousy. I’ve had her since she was a baby but she’s a feisty little turd. I suspect part of the reason for the UTI is because she had problems with her back legs and being able to fully groom herself.

I’m still trying to get her onto a scale to catch her weight. I have Sulfamethoxazole/Tmp ds tablets 800-160 mgs. I have no idea how to break these down appropriately or how much water to add to them. The only info I’ve been able to find is someone saying to give an adult squirrel .33cc of it…but that’s literally all the info I can find. Any help would be very very appreciated.

    Exclamation Bactrim Dosage? Please???

I'm trying to figure out how much of a 800-160 mg pill to give to my five year old squirrel who has a UTI. (blood in urine, discharge, fur around her bum is a mess) and can't find the information anywhere. I'm worried about her and really don't know how to go about doing this. It's a big tablet -- do I crush up the entire pill and mix it with water? How much water? How much of the mixture do I give her? She's an adult but on the smaller side -- she doesn't like being handled so weighing her isn't an easy task, particularly with her feeling lousy. Please -- any direction would be so appreciated. Even if you low ball the dosage -- what would you give a very young squirrel for a UTI? I just want to be able to do SOMETHING to help her and I can't find a single scrap of information.

We really need a weight on her. Can you weigh a box, then put her in the box and weigh it again and subtract the weight of the box? All dosing is based on weight, and your description of "small" just is not enough info.

Okay, I've gotten the closest possible to a weight for her (I put a towel on a scale that I have and managed to scoot her to it) -- she didn't stay put for more than half a second but it read 14 oz. (396 grams). That's really the best read I can get with her.

She weighs approximately 14 oz. That was the best reading I could get on her.
