Default Vet care for squirrels near Chicago - Elgin

I have an 8 year old squirrel that is a rescue (one back leg paralyzed) and she is incontinent. Is there a vet nearby that will treat her for a UTI infection? The vet I have been using retired and the new vet will not see her. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'll let others chime in but check around see if you or family or friends have any leftover antibiotics, which if in fact it's a UTI you'll need.
Also they will need a weight

Yes, we can dose meds correctly. It is done by weight. Your best bet for antibiotics would be Cipro or Amoxicillin Clavulanate (amox/clav) which are human meds.

    Thank you for your replies!
Yes, she has been treated with antibiotics in the past but since I'm unsure of what is causing her to have an overwhelming, bad-tuna like smell in her urine I'm hesitant to do anything without a vet's diagnosis. I have reached out to other vets in the area but no one is willing to look at her.
So, my question remains: does anyone know of a vet in the Chicago area who will treat wildlife?
Much thanks in advance if anyone has a referral!!

I'm not an expert by any means but it sounds like she needs antibiotics ( IMHO)
Check back see what others say.
Be careful of vets in states that will keep your squirrel 😔
I may know of a vet in Indiana.
