Default Anyone in socal area getting ready to soft release cgs?

    Hi All,
I rescued a pinky ground squirrel 6 months ago, and now he is ready to go be free, but I don't have the ability to soft release him. And preferably he would be better off with other friends. He doesn't know about predators or foraging food for himself or outside housing, but his behaviors all of a sudden he seeks independence and shows he is emotionally ready to leave the nest! I know it might be getting a bit later in the season, but thought I would reach out for any advice on his release.

    Thank you for reading!
