    Default Opossum

    Hi everyone --

    I found a Opossum mom hit by a car in the early cold morning. I found pink babies, 7 of them scattered around. I got them all, put them in a blanket and back home I put a heating pad on low and put the blanket above, I have seen no movement from them, or sounds. i dont know if they are dead or alive. I called the wildlife folks and they said if they are that small likely they cant do anything for them.

    I believe if baby opossums are 10g or less there is nothing you can do; when in the pouch they are not fully developed. Their organs and systems are not sufficiently formed yet. Even when a bit larger than 10g, they must be tube fed, not by syringe. So sorry, Rami.

    Thank you all - They were gone when I picked them up that morning already. I just wanted to believe I can save them. I went back, got mom, and buried them all together.
