HELP: Emergent Cipro Dosing Help Needed!

Wild Female Adult Grey Squirrel
Weight: 517 grams
Ailment: Severe infection in toe/foot that is spreading up hind leg. Pus and blood visible.

IN NEED OF IMMEDIATE DOSING ASSISTANCE. One of my backyard wild grey squirrels showed up last week with a swollen pinky toe. Over the course of just one week, it has progressed into what appears to be a very severe infection that has spread to her entire foot and leg.

I have attempted to trap her so I can get her to the wildlife rehabilitation center in my area (Twin Cities), but she is extremely trap savvy and just hobbles right past it no matter how tempting the bait. I keep having the wrong squirrels fall for it, so it’s looking like my only real option is to attempt to help her myself.

The positive news is that she comes to me every single day like clockwork for walnuts (sprinkled with calcium powder) and water. She lives in a tree in my backyard in one of my squirrel boxes with four other grey squirrels and I’m able to monitor via the camera inside. I am confident I will be able to administer antibiotics myself, as she trusts me each day for nuts.

I’m desperate to get her the antibiotics she needs, as she just refuses to check out the trap I place outside each day. I have a bottle of 500 mg Fish Flox / Ciprofloxacin and her weight in grams (517g), so now I’m here begging for an expert to give me dosage/direction!

I am not a rehabber. I’m simply a person who loves squirrels and cares DEEPLY for the ones living in her backyard. This sweet girl is named Marcie and I love her so so very much. Please help me help her. I’m so scared that she will pass inside that box from something I could have treated.

I apologize if I did not post to the correct forum or if my formatting is at all incorrect or against rules. I literally JUST joined this site and am posting immediately because I am that desperate for help.

Maplesquirrels, bless you for trying to help her! I am sure between our rehabbers here we can come up with dosing for her but I honestly don't know how Fish Flox correlates with Baytril, for example.

Thank you so much for responding! I’m pretty sure the Fish Flox is the same thing as Ciprofloxacin. This is the exact bottle I have:
