Default Should I leave my squirrel?

I had two Indian palm squirrel male and female but one of them(female) died recently. I was taking care of them since they were babies they hadn't even opened their eyes. Both of them grew up together and now they were about to be 7 months old but one died. Now I am worried about the other one will he be fine living alone. Should I give him to animal rehabs or raise him myself?

Were you planning to release them. If so I would think it would be best to find a rehabber.
    What is his diet?

Yes - please tell us about the diet. It is critical!

Hi! There is a link to a site on caring for palm squirrels in the breed specific forum. Are they 7 months or 7 weeks? At 7 months palm squirrels are about ready to take on the world. Agreed, info on diet is crucial.

I wasn't planning to leave them as they have grown dependent on me for food and they probably wouldn't survive in the wild either, it's just that I am worried that whether it will be alright to let him live alone.
I did took proper care of their diet it consists of some fruit, nuts, grain and vegetables. I add some calcium supplement as well to make up for the lack of sunlight. Is this info good or should I elaborate their diet further?

Your squirrel cannot survive on supplemental calcium. He must have a balanced diet. Fruit is a treat, not a main course. Grain is bad. Nuts are a treat. Your squirrel should have very few nuts and THOSE should be sprinkled with calcium. Nuts IN the shell are better for keeping teeth under control. Are you able to get Mazuri or Teklad rodent blocks where you are? It is these or a similar alternative that will provide the needed nutrition.

At present, your squirrel either has or will soon get Metabolic Bone Disease. You must correct the diet immediately, and you should treat for MBD whether it is there yet or not. Please see the following for how to proceed:

    https://henryspets.com/emergency-treatment-for-mbd/
    https://henryspets.com/healthy-diet-for-pet-squirrels/

Do not release your squirrel to the wild in this condition. He will not survive.

Please do write with any further questions.
