Default Gabapentin Dosing for Electrocuted Squirrel

    Hi all,

Our rescue received a male squirrel that weighs about 450 g. Unfortunately, he bit a power line and got electrocuted. Not sure what his future holds, but he currently doesn’t have the use of his legs. We were hoping to treat with gabapentin. We have a 100 mg tablet. Can someone assist with dosing or providing me with the dosage for a squirrel?

    Thanks!

I will leave this to those here who have experience with this type of injury. If Gabapentin is the preferred route and what you have is not enough, let me know. I take Gabapentin for restless legs, so I have plenty and can send you what you'll need. You are kind to help this poor little guy - here's to a fast and complete recovery!
