The issue with cat's biting or even scratching a squirrel is that cat's carry a bacteria that is deadly to squirrels. Antibiotics are needed to combat the bacteria a cat transmits when biting or e3ven scratching a squirrel.

If you happen to have any antibiotics.. or friends neighbors or other sources of antibiotics are available, that is the best course. Many antibiotics can successfully treat a cat attack including common antibiotics like Augmentin (animal version Clavamox), Cirpro (Animal version Baytril), Clindamycin and some less common ones as well.

If you have or locate any antibiotics, post the drug name and strength along with the squirrels weight for doing. Some one will provide dosing instructions if the meds can treat a cat attack.
