    Default injured juvenile gray squirrel

I have an injured gray squirrel that needs immediate medical attention. It has wounds on its head and neck. Its vocalizations are weak/hoarse sounding and it stays mostly balled up. It was taken from a home that had 4 cats which probably caused the wounds. located in hazlehurst ga. any help/ advice appreciated

Until someone with more knowledge comes in, a few things they may want to know would be weight of squirrel preferably in grams, a small kitchen scale works well. Approximate age if you know. If you have access to any antibiotics, either human or animal. How recent are the injuries, are the wounds open and or bleeding. Was it a wild squirrel, or one someone was raising. These are just some questions they may have and they may want more, but in the meantime….

Pictures for sure. Get a 1 mL syringe for dosing meds. Get any antibiotics from anybody and report back.

Cat bites are horrible and cause infections quickly. Getting ahead of this is critical for survival.

Know any squirrel friendly Vets ??
