6 Week old - bumps appeared on her foot.

I've been rehabbing a wounded squirrel for a couple of weeks now. She is vibrant, active, and feeds well. I've been using all of the protocols recommended, FV 20/50, etc. etc. Digestive and urinary systems appear to be functioning very well. She has a wounded right leg from a 50 foot fall onto a fence, but she appears to be slowly healing in regards to right foot functionality. She has a couple older, mostly healed scrapes.

I've been photographing her as she progresses, and to determine if there are any changes I should be concerned with.

In the last few days the following lumps have appeared on her foot.

Please let me know what this is, and what I should do. Thank you!

Update:

Close inspection revealed what may be pus filled sacs.

So I gave her a warm bath, and examined them during the bath. As I was examining them with my fingers white pus burst out. The ones where the pus came out 'deflated' to virtually nothing. A couple of them didn't break open from the warm water and are still there.

First, go to the drugstore and buy a bottle of Betadyne 10% povidone iodine (actually, buy the store brand sitting next to it for a few $$ less).

Boil and cool some water and add 1/2 teaspoon of the betadyne to 1/4 cup water. Yes, it will stain stuff. You want to use that on these. I would try to burst any that are as pronounced and "ready" as these with more warm water soaks, and when dose, either dip her foot in this or less messy, use a cotton ball and use it to saturate the area, then let it dry on there. It is a very powerful antiseptic and is extremely effective against staph, which this may be. Go over her as closely as you can and look for more and saturate them with the betadyne solution, too. It doesn't sting or burn AT ALL. It just stains.

Please keep us posted. If she has more, oral antibiotics might be in order. Time to call around and see if anyone has any leftover antibiotics - human meds are fine.

1) I did a full inspection, they are nowhere else that I can spot so far.
2) I soaked her foot in a mild solution of Hypoclorous (the same stuff used on all animals, exceedingly anti-microbial)
3) I applied Veterinarian Neo Poly Dex on it after the mild hypochlorous bath.

I have a variety of things on hand already in preparation for any issues. Neo Poly Dex, Baytril, Hypochlorous, etc. I will increase her bedding changes, and implement a more stringent bath schedule as well.

Just an update, these healed right up. I'd say they are 90% gone, give or take. Basically just scars/scabs.
