Hawks owls predators

I am going to be releasing 3 6 month Olds this year 2023. I had them in their cage outside and when a hawk started crying they begun to sound alarms and cry. I know that's normal and everything but my concern is wouldn't constant crying and alarming alert the predator to them? Is so how do I teach them?

Though not assuming that the juveniles haven't been provided nest boxes; just thought to touch on that issue should it have been overlooked. Also, make sure that the top of the enclosure is covered to provide some shade, and protect their being viewed from above by airborne predators.

Also, I recommend providing a full chain-link surround top bottom and sides, will protect the squirrels from raccoons breaching the inner release cage. Begin by placing the bottom section of the chain-link surround which needs to be wider and taller so you can get inside the surround to feed the squirrels, and also to prevent predators from reaching through it to to grasp a squirrel. From there, upon the base, place along the edge near each corner cement stepping stones (Home Depot carries these for low cost);then the sides, and lastly the top. Don't forget to put in a door so you can enter the outer surround.

Although for some, this may seem like overdoing it; from the lack of adding this protection from raccoons, a rehabber I knew many years ago, most sadly lost an entire season's juveniles because raccoons were able to breach the wood frame and wire fabric. What we know about rehabbing raccoons, is what keeps them in, also can keep them out.

Thank you 😊 I still would like to know if they cry continuously while a predator is out and they are released like they are venturing own their own if that wouldn't alert the predator to them... it seems to me like if they would continuously cry while a predator is out then the predator would know exactly where they are at.


My question is since they are just heading these sounds for the first time do you think it's more of their senses are activating now and they are just kind of testing their alerting tones and everything....

I'm just worried about them trying too hard to alert and cry and accidentally showing the predators where their hiding... you know? If there is a way to help them learn plz share I'd really appreciate it thank you.
