Hello, I have in charge a wilde female adulte 594g since 9 nov. entered for back leg paralysed. I saw on her back a bad bump so she may felt but still reflex in legs and tail. Indeed legs and tails are doing better no treatment except calm and food. 2 days ago a cyst\abscess appear on her cheek. (photos and vidéo) its hard and red. seems also a smallest one up on the eye. the round of the eye seams red too. gave painkiiler. today try to open it as an abscess with a medical needle and a small pro scalpel. nothing went out. What can I do except wide range antibiotic ? hydrotherapy is hard because on the cheek and non cooperative wilde and scared squirrel, otherwise it would have been my first choice. thanksName: kyste.jpg

Those appear to be the early stage lesions of squirrel pox (fibroma) to me. There is good info on squirrel pox in our Special Ailments section. I know you are in Quebec, but if you can get some acyclovir or Valtrex it can work wonders on early stage pox. Most important is to boost the squirrels immune system So that it can fight the pox Itself.

ALSO: don't lance or irritate the lesions as that will spread them. Use a medicated powder like Gold Bond to keep them as dry as possible.
