Default 5 week old Eastern grey, smelly pee

I recently rescued a 5 week old. He has not trouble pooping and peeing on his own. However, his pee is very fishy smelling. There does not appear to be any blood, discoloration or discomfort when urinating. I have rescued several and have never experienced this.

Powdered version.. yes? Just making certain since the per-liquid Esbilac is not the same at all.

First time I have seen an observation like this about the fishy pee smell.. not sure if this is something that should be concerning considering that other than the smell all seems fine...

yes, powder. I was concerned that it could be UTI, but no evidence of discomfort, so not sure that could be it.

My 4 to 5 weeks are doing this now. How did it work out for you? Mine is on a kmr kitten milk diet the fox valley hasn't arrived it.

I did notice that this 2nd feeding today their pee and a fishy smell, like captain d's. I gave them each one cc of water and I'll give them another cc about an hour from this feeding. Do yall now what it could be? I thought uti or dehydrated. They do look the Tiniest bit dehydrated so I'm starting to give them water in between the feedings. They still been peeing and pooping good. Just thought I'd ask for some advice. Thanks.

Do you have any Silvadene cream (silver sulfadiazine)? I have had a few fishy-smelling pee babies over the years and assumed it was UTI. However neither Baytril nor SMZ TMP ever helped the situation. The Silvadene, although it's topical, seemed to straighten them out after only a day or two. Infection may be outside the urethra, so it helped.

Confident the issue is KMR diet, which is not suitable for squirrels. As a KMR, it has high protein sources suitable for carnivores / cats.
