everything says just 2 blocks a day.. Ive finally gotten Doug to eat the blocks, altho he seems to shred as much as he eats. is 2 still enough for his calcium intake?

That may depend upon what species of squirrel Doug is; also what the rest consists of.
That may depend upon what species/subspecies of tree squirrel Doug is; also what the rest of his diet looks like.

When they first start on blocks they do shred them more than eat them, but that should work itself out by 9-10 wks old. I don't start giving mine blocks until they are 8 weeks old....

Sorry Doug is a 8 or nine month old fox squirrel. he eats a lot of sugar snap peas and along with nibbles on other veggies and some fruits like grapes, blueberries,apples and oranges
