    Default Freezing Henry's Bites

Hi all. First off, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the moms out there - including Mother Nature and all the squirrel mom's on this forum. Quick question - how long do Henry's bites last in the freezer? The shipping costs add up when I only buy one bag at a time so I'm considering stocking up a bit but at the same time I don't want to feed bites that are no longer good. Thanks in advance for any feedback

Forever? Not sure about that, but a long time. I have 1.15 squirrels (one gray and one flyer) and I buy six at a time. I keep the bags in the freezer and take out enough for about 2 days at a time to keep in the fridge.

I recently defrosted two bags of Wild Bites which I had frozen last fall. Once defrosted I nuked them for a few seconds just to get a good scent from them -- I can smell mold a mild away. They were fine and the squees loved them.

I put them in the freezer the minute I get them most times they are still in the package till I get a chance to take them out.
I order a lot at once because of shipping cost, but I've never had issues.
I'm more worried about transit in trucks/mail trucks especially during summer in Florida, so I stock up in cooler months.

Maura good idea nuke them first, I usually give frozen👍
