Today I was able to hear angry growling in stereo. One on the left, another one on the right. I'm just glad I didn't get smacked being right in the middle with my knucklehead.

Sunset of the day, this time taken with my mirrorless camera and not the cell phone.

    It was cuddle time!

Good news, my neuro boy is healing and the fur is growing back in. F(l)at like a pancake!

Rocky doesn't cuddle. He comes. He eats. He leaves. He doesn't even bother stashing nuts like all others.

True, but since my gang is pretty big, there is always a risk of seeing one being injured or sick, and that breaks my heart. Also, seeing some people not treating them well makes me extremely angry. Knowing about this dirty raccoon living in the park doesn't make things easier.

In a perfect world I'd have a 100% healthy and cuddly grey in my house that doesn't chew anything but provided wood and never pees outside his / her "toilet". A dream, I know.

I just got back from the park.

While I didn't see my girl and my neuro boy, I saw Stinky! He was 100% under the influence of hormones lol

He was slowly following around everything that had a bushy tail. At one point I even saw him creeping up to a younger male.

His balls (sorry, man-pillows doesn't cut it) are so huge, he couldn't even walk straight anymore! He was busy trying to find a hump partner (victim) and ignored my nuts. I guess that's a good sign.

Yay! I'm so glad you saw Stinky! I was wondering if you had seen him and how he was behaving around you. I thought you were going to say he was under the influence of junk food. I guess he's got other things on his mind.

I was expecting to see him with a slight limb in his wrist, avoiding other squirrels. Instead he was walking like a lizard with his hinds far out to the side so they wouldn't bang against his pride. Wish I had it on video but I didn't bring my phone when I was out in the park.

He was so depressed in my house... maybe he was just super horney and had nobody to go after.

Tonight was an awesome time at the beach! Almost no humans and I saw my entire gang.

Highlight of the day: I bonded with the last one... Rocky.

They drink so much, I had to pull out one of my soup plates. One of them took a bath.

My neuro boy is becoming big, and weird. He isn't avoiding most other squirrels anymore, even chased a couple off. That's a new one.

On top of that, he developed a really annoying habit. When he wants something to eat, he walks up to me, and bites one of my legs! Always in the same spot right above the sock. He is not drawing blood, but its not exactly a love bite either. He bites it and instantly looks up. I hope he doesn't do that stunt with others, he will end up being a soccer ball in no time.

I just recall that he bit my leg in the past a few times, when he tried to hide nuts in my socks. He was pushing around with his nose and when he couldn't get the nut into my sock, he somehow managed to bite me, trying to make room for the nut. Maybe he remembers those attempts and tries to find his stash now.

    Always up to something!

He is one of my girl's boys.

They all look so clean, bright and colorful when they are young. Unlike Stinky, he became lazy after his first year.

And Rocky looks like a grandpa indeed. He walks like one as well.

I'm not arguing about what is better, that's not my point. What I care about is her squirrel.

Most health problems are the result of several negative variables.

In order to improve healing chances we have to eliminate as many negative variables as possible. In case he doesn't get enough vitamin D (I stated that we can't be sure if those blocks have enough), giving him some sunlight every day will eliminate one variable for good.

Right now he isn't even eating enough, so it is basically guaranteed that he is not getting enough vitamin D.

Even if the blocks and his diet have enough vitamin D, maybe his digestive tract can't absorb it anymore due to other underlying issues. So allowing him to generate his own, by providing sunlight, can only be good for him. OP also stated that he is 7 years old, that is a higher age after all. With increasing age they - as all living beings - absorb less nutrients.
