Exclamation 2 year old grey squirrel not eating two days

Squirrel randomly won’t eat for 2 days! Help!

We have a 2 year old captive male grey squirrel who has just recently been refusing his food. He eats 2-3 Henry’s blocks everyday and has for over a year and we have never had a problem until now. He also won’t eat his vegetables but will eat a blueberry. The second day we had nothing but his blocks and vegetables in there and he hasn’t eaten any of it. Please help

Throwing out things to try o figure out what might be going on...

Is he drinking water and peeing normally?

    Are his stools normal?

    Any new foods recently?

Does he get out of cage time that is unsupervised... might he have gotten into a house plant or anything that is making him sick?

More general info about his situation... housing, diet, activities might provide a clue.

    Have you checked his teeth?

He’s drinking normal, peeing normal, stools look normal, no new foods, and he’s never unsupervised when he is out. I called Henrys pets and she told me to not give him any nuts or fruit and wait until he’ll eat his blocks and veggies and to clean out his cage to make sure he’s not storing any food. But before we didn’t have to buy the picky blocks or anything like that, he would eat any type of blocks or anything else I gave him.
It’s odd because no variables have changed besides the temperature and sun, but I’ve put a sun lamp beside his cage now and I keep an eye on the temperature to keep it the same. He’s still acting perfectly fine, and if you didn’t know he was refusing to eat you’d have no idea because he just seems normal.

Is he chewing like a normal squirrel, on wood or nutshells or whatever? Have you checked his teeth? A toothache will make them avoid foods but not necessarily affect their behavior early on. Just throwing it out there....
