    Default Coccidia

According to a study in Virginia, something like 91% of wild squirrels are infected with coccidia. While it says it is usually asymptomatic, it can cause serious illness in young, or immune-compromised squirrels, and permanent damage if not treated quickly.

I'm by no means an expert in anything except research, but I was asked whether Corid might be used in squirrels and whether I could find a dosage that isn't confusing (it's normally used in livestock). It had been used successfully (off-label) in puppies and kittens but our TSB experts should be consulted regarding safety in squirrels.

Edit: To protect the innocent we can not have dosing information
exposed to inexperienced persons. Entire post moved to Rehabber's Forum.
