    Default Cipro Dosing/Administering for AP

I have a 6 week Eastern Gray who appears to be experiencing AP (lethargy, refusing to eat, and clicking when breathing). I was able to get Cipro 250 MG and dosing syringes but I'm not sure the appropriate dose. Unfortunately she now exceeds the weight of my scale so I'm only sure that she's over 100g, but prior to today she did appear very healthy. I'm also wondering what the proper way to administer the pill is? Should it be crushed and mixed with water for dosing? Thanks.

Over 100gms is really vague, can you post a picture for possibly a better determination on weight for dosing.

    How cute!!

    These will work.
I'll work it up and send dosing instructions to your private messages.
You still need a scale to be properly feeding him which should be between 5-7% of body weight.

I will let one of the folks who have raised more babies guess at the weight, but for now...

Baby has spiky hair - that is a sign of dehydration. Can you give a bit of rehydration in between feedings? You can use pedialyte (for 24 hours) or even just warm water with a touch of sugar or honey will help.

Can you take a picture of your little one from the front, so we can see his whole face?
