Default Juvenile Grey with pox and poss genital injury

One of the juvenile squirrels in my tree (he is there with two siblings and his mother) has pox. So does mom and I am not sure about the other two. The juvie in question has a large pink mass dangling from his tummy about the size of a gumball and what looks like another mass right below that. I am posting a couple of videos so you can see the condition. He is wild so it is the best I can do.

Do you have access to a wildlife friendly vet?

No. Plus, with the pox I'm afraid he'll just be put down anyway,

My ability to trap him is very limited, as they are wary of me. I'm also leaving in a few days for two weeks. More and more I think the pox is in his genitals and probably nothing can be done. He is very active; does not act as though he has infection or even pain. His mother is also interacting with him normally.

I mainly want to know if anyone has seen this before.

I wonder if that is a hernia and not related to pox?

I don't think we can tell without holding him and looking close, They are VERY skittish and picky in what they eat. It would take more time and cleverness than I have to catch him right now. I was hoping he would get more familiar, but now I haven't seen him today, and I'm leaving on Friday. Maura Is the only one I would trust not to euthanize him anyway. I can't even ask if she would take him if I can't catch him.

I bet if you put that food in a small hav-a-hart trap, you could catch him. But you would still need a rehabber with a vet to hand him off too.

    Hi JLM,

Was your little friend able to heal up from the issues he was facing?

Yes! Boo Boo is all better now and getting big. It took a month and a half for all lesions to disappear and his penis seems to have remained a bit larger than usual, but nothing pathological. No one else got sick. Mama cleared up too, and his brother, running around my study right now (Daniel B. Stinkytoes, aka Danny Boy), never got any at all, even though they were all sleeping together. Mama is either pregnant again or has a new batch of babies and also visits daily. Danny is noticeably smaller than Boo Boo, but much feistier and alpha. They are so cute. One day they stood on their hind legs on my inner window sill and batted furiously at each other until Boo Boo fell over out the window onto the outside sill. He now defers to Danny Boy.

He's really active and his interactions with his brother Danny Boy are really cute. You know how squirrels are farsighted? They can't see clearly close up? Well the two of them ran into each other in the tree outside my window. At first they growled at each other, then they stopped and began to inch closer until they could bump noses. "Is that you, Boo Boo?" "Yeah, is that you, Danny?" Then they jumped on each other with joy and began wrestling and playing in the tree and grooming each other.

Today Aunt Bessie was on my inner window sill with her paws on the sill below and her hiney up in the air trying to decide what kind of treat she wanted, when Boo Boo arrived behind her and goosed her with his nose! She flew into the air like a bird and when she came down, boy was she mad! Boo Boo is a rascal.

Yes, Abbie, it's the same room. Jimmy passed in 2015 during the great blizzard we had here that year. I think he died of a broken heart. He was 7 years old. A sweet little old man. His son Mikey took over for 5 years, but he too passed last August. Right now there are only mammas, juvies, and babies in the tree, and Aunt Bessie, who I think is Mama's childless sister. (She's not quite right, you know). Right now is nut season and a time of musical squirrel chairs, so I don't know who will be here when I get back from Nantucket.
