I don't know how close your house is to the trees but you do want them to be able to observe the goings on out there.
That said, I personally wouldn't put it next to a tree likely used by the wilds who would be climbing all over it and harassing
the ones caged. Closer to the house would probably be best, once released they are going to need that safe zone to come
back to while they are getting themselves established to the wild.
