Default Discharge in corners of mouth while eating

Does anybody know why my pet squirrel, Gypsy, would have a white milky substance that appears on the corners
of her mouth after she eats? I haven't ever seen this before until yesterday morning. She's 5 years old. She doesn't
like to be handled, never has, since she's been a baby. No other symptoms to speak of. She's very active, eats great,
pees/poops normal. Her teeth look normal or the same as they always have. I am very worried and not sure what to do except determine it's some kind of infection. I have some fish flox to start her on. I am just feeling very anxious and worried. Can some one give me some suggestions. I would appreciate them so much. Thank you. ~Amy and Gypsy

What was (is?) she eating when this happens?

It looks like it happens when she eats anything. It's not very much, but it's there.

I’m not sure what could be going on. Do you detect any discomfort when eating? Is she able to crack nuts? Have you examined the teeth for length? Does it go away between her eating?

I hope others will chime in if they’ve ever experienced anything like this.

She doesn't seem to have any trouble eating. I haven't seen her crack a nut recently but I did give her a piece of wood this morning and she chewed on it.

I can't hold her to check her teeth or I would have already. I try to watch for a yawn or have her look up. I don't see anything in her mouth, but it's hard to see.

The only thing that has changed recently is that she got a new water bottle.

I wouldn't be able to get her to a vet since she won't let me handle her.

I feel so hopeless about this.

and yes, it only happens when she eats. It's dry when she isn't.

I’ve never heard of an infection presenting this way. Infections usually result in lethargy, not eating, sometimes white tears from pain, etc.
