Default Help needed with sick wild squirrel

Hi. Can you please help me with this sick wild squirrel? I gave it some avocado and HHB. I have ciprofloxacin 250 mg tablets (6 tablets) and Amox-Clav 875-125 mg tablet (1 pill) if you think that could help her. I think she weighs 350-400 grams. Tried to catch it but it doesn't let me get close enough. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its feet, paws and nose look a little swollen and it is much slower and wobbles a little when it walks compared to the other squirrels.

Like Stepnstone says, I don't think it weighs that much. Looks like a juvenile.

    It might have mange.

Try to get more pictures at different angles, preferably not so close but next to something for a size comparison.
I do think it should be treated for mange but I also agree something (else) looks off.
The AmoxClav would be a good ab if needed to go that route but I would address the obvious first.
Continue to support this little's nutrition and make sure he/she has access to water.
Does it appear to be able to eat ok and is it able to climb satisfactory?

I will try to get better pics tomorrow. I don't think it can climb well because when I try to get close it runs away into bushes or the neighbors' yards instead of climbing up the trees as the other squirrels. I placed a bowl with water for it but I didn't see it drink from it. It ate 2 HHB slowly and 4 small pieces of avocado.

That along with appearance is telling me it was too young to be on it's own to begin with, still is, and now needs some help.
Do you know of anyone that might have a havaheart type live trap? Many of our members have used and brought in wilds
successfully using this method. One could even rig a door on a cage, tie a cord to it and watch and wait.

Poor baby. Its back legs look off somehow. The way it's sitting more on its bottom with the left leg sort of turned sideways.

I think it's left, rear paw/ankle look swollen/injured. I think this little one definitely needs to be inside for a while for a couple weeks in order to treat it's leg/paw, the mange and to allow it to rest and get bigger before releasing.

Sounds like it has a good appetite. When putting on water, use a vessel with very shallow sides and don't put more an eighth of an inch of water in the bottom. Juveniles are not very good at drinking from a container, suckling is a different sort of action. It is easy for them to aspirate, which would be bad, definitely not useful. They often cough and sputter after trying to drink from a vessel.

The avocado is about 50% water by weight. A piece of apple is 86% water. So they can be given water by giving them foods with a high water content. Cooked winter squash or sweet potato also have a high water content, approx. 75%.

Nuts and block have very little water content.

The block should be helping with the vitamin and mineral situation, as well as providing nutrition.
