Unhappy I don't know if this is life threatening or not.

My little boy of three months just ate air dry clay and I was wondering if it is a life threatening thing, THANK YOU SO MUCH.

They have a very sensitive sense of smell and can scent minerals. They will ingest things to try to balance their mineral equilibrium. Unfortunately there are sometimes other not so helpful ingredients present.

I would search online for the product's MSDS. That should tell you what particular things are in that particular brand of clay. It isn't just squirrels that are inclined to eat strange things.

The MSDS should also give some idea of the toxicity of the ingredients.

My only concern would be passing what he has eaten,
I would watch his bowel movements and provide some extra hydration.
The majority of air dry clay's are specifically designed to be non-toxic.

This is my daughter's post... I didn't know she even created an account here. I guess Buddy got on the table this morning and did a taste-test of my daughter's art work. We'll keep an eye on him. He had a good lunch; and ate bunch of watermelon and grapes. I'll try to get some formula in him after his nap and we'll keep an eye on the bowel movement. Thank you all!
