Default 2 males needing a home

I have been contacted by a member in N Alabama that has someone looking to re-home 2 males. Seems to be an age difference but both are young.

Please post here or pm me.

    Thanks

Can you ask if they’re NR’s? Sometimes they can be successfully released even if they’ve been pets for awhile.

I don't believe they are NR's Mel. But I will find out for sure.

Ok, so by the looks of them, if these are pictures of them, that the person wants to find someone to take them and finish raising them for release? I know of a member in Alabama, but I don’t know where she’s located. If you get a little more info I can reach out to her.

Yes this is pictures of the squirrels in need of a home.

They are NOT NR's to the best of my knowledge. Just orphaned.

The finder was going to try to raise them but decided against it.

They are located in Florence, Alabama. NW corner of the state.

Let me know if I can provide additional details.

    Thanks

Hello ! It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything. Hammy has been gone 2 years but I was back to raising and releasing until my mother was diagnosed with cancer. Mentally I can’t take on any more responsibilities because I feel sometimes a mental breakdown coming on. I would love to home these babies and release them but I’m also dealing with a one year old NR. These babies were found crawling on the ground after their tree was cut down. It was dusk and started to rain so they felt like the babies were at risk staying out alone. Mama was no where in sight. I told them to take them back to the scene first thing in the morning and let them call mom but they didn’t and decided they would raise them. As I told Rockypops I don’t think they can handle the responsibility and I was sure they would be calling back. Sure enough they contacted my daughter Tuesday evening. They are both males and appear to have and big age difference. I’m guessing two different litters.

I will reach out to a member tomorrow and see if she can help. Can the folks that have them or you, BamaHam, care for them until we find someone to take them?

I contacted the member and although she is quite a distance and couldn’t help she was going to pass on the info to another member that is closer.
