    Exclamation End of tail ripped/fell off

    Please help I need any advice I can get I'm not sure what happened I put her in her cage earlier and I didn't notice the end of her tail being gone and now I took her out to feed her and the end of her tails gone and I found it on the floor next to the bed , her and I had been playing earlier it is slightly bleeding not bad though very little. I just need to know is neosporin ok is there anything else I can do for her?

    Their tails are actually designed to deglove like this, almost like a lizard's tail and for the same reason - to leave predators with tail but no squirrel. Neo is fine; try to keep it clean. If bone is sticking out it will blacken and fall off eventually.

    Check your cage. Most of these are from pinch points on the cage. Ant space a tail can flop into and get caught, even for an instant will result in this. Check where the cage sides meet in the corners - these are notorious. You can wrap sptrips of fleece around the too close bars to close them off.

    He'll be okay. The exposed bone will dry up and fall off if he does not chew it off first. Like CM said, try to figure out where he got his tail caught and correct it.
