Default Emergency - prednisone dosing please

    Hello,
I was just brought a young male - 420 grams. He is not moving his back legs. He was in a cat's mouth but there are no wounds. Perhaps just fell from a tree and cat picked him up. I have prednisone but no idea how to dose. Can someone help ASAP?
Pred - I have some 1mg and also some 10 mg pills.

If I don't hear soon I'll just give metacam. Thank you

Pred dosing sent in PM. You canNOT give Metacam and Prednisone together.

This squirrel will need antibiotics... do you have any?

You should wait 24 hours from the last dose of Metacam before giving the first dose of prednisone.

I would not rely on my ability to find wounds to decide about giving antibiotics. Any time I have an intake that has the slightest potential of have had contact with a cat gets antibiotics. Small scratches and punctures can be impossible to see for even the most experienced... just not worth the risk IMO.
