Hey friends, it’s been a while since I’ve been here. My little guy is now 20 weeks old. My son and I made a trip up to the mountain to forage him some food yesterday. We found a lot of great treat but we spent a lot of time googling to make sure what we were bringing him home was safe. Like always with squirrel care I come across a lot of contradicting information. For example... One site said squirrels love bamboo Stocks and another site told me they were poisonous. My friends here have never steered me in the wrong direction so I’m back for advice. Is there some sort of list of foods a squirrel cannot/should not have (other than the obvious like candy). We live in Arkansas and we’re surrounded by mountains… I would like to make sure I give him as much natural food as possible.

I will also add his current diet is Henry’s healthy blocks, a grazing rodent block, kale, sweet potato, carrots, The occasional nut and fruit… Everything has calcium powder dusted on it.
