I found a groundhog hit by a car (I think) on the side of the road. He looked fine, but was walking in circles. I was on my way to work, so I moved him to the side of the road, to a safe place, and checked on him 4 hours later. He had passed. He was laying on his back and it looked like he vomited. It was coming out of his eyes too! I have a picture but I don’t want to post it and upset anyone. I’m really curious what it is, because I once found a healthy- looking, dead squirrel in my yard with the same stuff coming out of it’s mouth. Is vomiting common from head trauma? Is chocking on his vomit was killed the groundhog? Now I feel bad that I left him.
