Default Is her tail too short??

I released Faith and Toot May 31 and both had long, bushy tails. I don’t see her as often ( but Toot comes every single day !) but noticed a week ago the tip of her tail looked injured/ruffled. Now she shows up with just this?? It just sticks straight up, can’t even curl over her head. Will she be too vulnerable now or not able to balance well?? Do I need to take her back??

She will be fine. My Top Yard Squirrel, a 3 year old female named Tank, has a tail that is only about 4 inches long. In Maine, where the temps can drop to double digits below zero in the winter. She is not only fine, she is the Boss of All!

Ok thanks ! That’s a huge relief to know ( yours is a Boss!) Just didn’t expect that to happen

My 3 yr-old, Muggsy, had part of his tail amputated when he was a few months old. He is FINE. Your girl will be fine, too. No issues with getting around...and I notice to keep warm, he curls up -- the missing tail isn't really missed.

She's a cutie, by the way!
