Default Aggression towards other people. Help!

Hi! My squirrel now about 8 weeks old (I think) is starting to get protective of me when I’m near my family members. If they get too close she will make noises and will go after them. She even bit me once when I was too close them while holding her.

Is there anyway I can reduce this aggression!? I told the family members (adults) to give her a little treat when I’m not around. Is that a good idea or not. 😬

Please help! Tips and advice is greatly appreciated!!

Welcome to the World of Squirrel.
This is one of the main issues with having free-roaming squirrels in the house. They begin to think of the entire home as their nest, and typically only tolerate one person in the house. If you are a couple it will be an extra bonus that the squirrel tolerates both of you. Strangers? Not likely. Think "parrot" because parrots are much the same way, I think.

    BTW: he's adorable!
