    Question Red stomach

We have a year and half female squirrel that we rescued. She has always been healthy with eating vegetables, fruits, nuts, vitamins, calcium and has a vitamin d lite. She lives in a spare unfinished room with a tree and toys. About a month ago she started itching and developed a bright red stomach. We keep her house clean and her bedding washed. We thought maybe fleas but have found none. Help please

I have asked an admin to come help. I have been away too long to explain it.

I can't get a picture of her belly but it is very red. It is very noticable when she stretches. Has anyone had this happen to their squirrel?

I'm in Idaho too, are you on the west or east side of the state? Maybe I could come look and see if I can see what's going on.

Punkin, can you email a pic? I can give you my email address if you have a pic.
I could post the pic for you.

In your first post I didn’t understand something you said. I think it was a typo.
... Vitamin d lite. What does that mean?

Yes it is UV lite - she won't sit still long enough for me to get a pic of her stomach. Also, she will not eat the blocks - any help with getting her to eat them. She has a large window in her room so is getting some sun and we take her outside often.
