    Default Possible degloving....

hey y’all... just got a new baby in, and it seems like she may have had a string or something wrapped around her wrist... while her little hand isn’t degloved just yet, it looks like it may have started to at some point.... when i got her, the wound was scabbed over as in the pix... i haven’t messed with it much so as not to disturb it or do any further damage... the only thing i’ve done to it is brush it *lightly* with the baby wipes i use to potty her...

any suggestions as to what i should do about the injury?? i doubt its life threatening at this point because it doesn’t look inflamed or infected or anything.... it’s pinkish, but she’s basically pinkish all over sooooo.... i’m thinking i should just leave it be and just keep an eye on it?? maybe it will heal on its own??

I think keeping it clean and putting some silvadene on it is all you can really do.

    Sweet little baby!

Might want to take a magnifying glass and look real close under a good light and make sure whatever caused the damage is not still there. Hair, string etc.

    Thanks for helping her.
