    Default Help Needed

I have a domesticated squirrel. I think he is a well adjusted and happy animal. My concern is probably a common one for someone with an indoor pet squirrel. I'm concerned about his teeth getting too long. I give him lava blocks and elk antlers to chew on but I think his teeth may still be getting too long. Can anyone give me some advice about this? I'm wondering if there is anything I can give him or do for him to trim his teeth down?

Hi, welcome to the squirrel board

We would love to hear about your squirrel. Can you tell us about his/her diet. Do you think both uppers and lowers are too long. Any chance you could get a picture?

Yes, please tell us your friend. We would love pics. You might not know this but you are 1 hour away from the best squirrel dentist in the country. Yes, that is a real thing. Dr. Emerson is in Port Orange and can address any teeth issues if it is serious enough to warrant a vet visit. You can give your friend oak branches to chew but sometimes the teeth do over grow.

The diet is critical so we would be glad to help with that also.
