Default Its time for a new cage and blocks to nibble on!

Hi guys! Rocky is growing like a weed and it is time to move him to a new cage. I have had him in a tote with t shirts and a corner litter box with carefresh spread throughout the tote. He escaped the other day and i found him snuggled up in my bed

I found a double critter nation cage for sale that I am going to pick it up tomorrow and I am so excited! How should I organize the new cage? Should I open it up both sections and spread the care fresh all over the bottom tray? Any advice for climbing toys and what not?

Also, he is ready for squirrel blocks so should I start him on the regular HHBs or the protein blocks?

    thanks everyone!

Also, his nails are are getting pretty sharp. Is there any way to trim them and do I need to give him anything in particular to chew on for his teeth?

Dose get to see a picture of Rocky. I bet he is a foxer!

Any hhb block is good for your boy. I learned to bed my squirrels on a bedding offirst a layer of newspaper, then a sheet over that. I usually hang a cube from the top and put a fresh 2-3 “ oak or maple branch.

Thanks for taking care of Rocky!

You can get him a deer antler at most pet stores. Good for grinding teeth and provides calcium.

    What about diet?

    How old is Rocky?

    Pictures?

I am guessing that he is about 7 weeks old! And yes he is a foxer baby!

    He's just beautiful...!

What formula do you feed him? He looks super!

Are you planning on releasing him?

I don't know about trimming his nails.

I have him on fox valley 20/50! And he weighs 145 grams! He gets anywhere from 8-12 cc’s every 4 hours just depending on how hungry he is.
