Default Adult female wild squirrel with possible broken front leg

I’m new here but I love squirrels, chipmunks etc. This year I bonded with a young-ish female squirrel. I named her Momma. She lives somewhere a few doors down from me. She would come over rather regularly to sit on my lap for healthy snacks. I hadn’t seen her in about 10 days so I went searching and found her near the area where she lives. She came to me limping and not putting any weight on her front paw/arm. I saw 2 small areas where she may have been bitten but no blood or open wounds. I checked on her today and gave her more snacks. She is doing the same. No weight on arm. She can climb trees. I absolutely adore her. Will this type of injury heal on its own?? I’m not sure if it’s broken or sprained or sore.

Squirrels are amazing healers. Her arm should heal, but you should watch for infection or abscess. If it gets inflamed and red you might need to treat her with an antibiotic. Someone can help you with the type and dosing if it becomes necessary.

It’s good that you’re feeding her and she’s coming for food. It will help you to be able to keep an eye on her. Offer her some healthy foods like avocado (no skin or pit), fresh coconut chunks or Henrys blocks. The healthy foods will be good for her. I hope she recovers soon.

Thank you! I have grown so attached to her and wish she lived in my yard so I could keep a better eye on her. Thank you for the advice
