    Default Barukas nuts

Has anyone used these and are they safe for squirrels? I like them.

Baruka or Baru nut aka: (Brazilian Almond), technically a seed, not a nut, but a legume, is noted to have a higher selenium content.

The concern with selenium is that consuming these can lead to selenium toxicity, as selenium builds up in the blood.

For this reason I wouldn't risk feeding these nuts to squirrels as it could cause selenium toxicity that is deadly.
