    Default Possible aspiration pneumonia

Lost my lil girl to what we believe was ap . I think I'm hearing clicking in my Male. I wanna catch it before it's to late. I have 9 individual doses left from my girl. Can I give him a dose? I feel better safe then sorry. I don't need any answers on dosing since they both weighed pretty much the same when I brought my girl to the vet. Just need to know if I can give him the antibiotic without for sure knowing if he actually has it. He's still acting himself only thing I'm noticing is he don't seem to eat the amount he normally does. Maybe I'm just a paranoid new squirrel momma after losing my girl. Thanks all, I am glad I found this site!

If it was given to you by your vet I would say to dose him. Do you know what the med is?

Baytril , and like I said it wasn't given for him, because he appeared healthy when he was checked over. Would you recommend I give him the full 9 doses or should I maybe do half the remaining doses?

If he has been symptom free for several days by day 6 or so you can probably stop, but there really is no reason to. The meds that have been mixed into a liquid don't last that long - the stuff they are mixed with to dilute them actually goes bad, so there isn't really a reason to not give the full round.

Below is the link to baby squirrel care just keep in mind we no longer recommend the Esbilac due to product change which has been compromising babies.

Go to this link this is a HUGE help.
It's 6 pages long with the next button on the top right corner.
