I have had a baby for about a week now. I am estimating her age to be 2 weeks at this point. She isn't eating great, not gaining weight, and gets cold very easily. I would like to treat her for pneumonia prophylactically, can someone give me the dose of baytril or maybe orbax, whatever is recommended. she is 17g.

In your other forum you said she was 25grams, now saying 17grams.
Personally I'd like to see you post pictures of this baby for eyes on assessment.
Much of what you mention point to dehydration, a dehydrated baby usually won't eat,
can not process what they do eat. That and/ or lack of nutrittion could explain the inability
to maintain body temp. If she would have had pneumonia as long as you suspect by your
other forum she would not be here, pneumonia takes them down and out fast.
If AP, baytril would be the recommended anti-biotic.

I don’t think the scale I was using originally was accurate. I began using a kitchen scale and it seems more accurate. Should I give her pedialyte for dehydration? I will post a picture. Thank you

This baby needs hydration, I would suggest using the home made hydration fluid over pedialyte.
Re-hydration fluid:
1 teaspoon salt
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 quart water.
************
1/2 measure:
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-1/2 tablespoon sugar (3-teaspoons)
16 oz water (1-pint)
*************
1/4 measure:
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 tablespoon sugar (1-1/2 teaspoons)
8 oz water

I also suspect something else is out of whack...

You haven't mentioned in either forum what formula you are feeding or with what you are feeding with?
Are you warming/keeping formula warm during feeding? Pinks like their formula very warm, closer to hot.
How often do you feed, how much each time and is baby's milk line from past feeding gone by next feeding?
Does baby appear bloated? (picture suggests she might be) Is baby's stomach soft/squishy or firm/hard?
Are you stimulating baby after each feeding so that it can void? How are it's bowels, what is the consistency?
What is baby being contained in and is it half on half off a heating pad?

I realize this is a lot of questions but necessary for us to know in order to help you.

I am feeding ebsilac powder every 3 hours and 1 overnight. she was eating max 0.8 every feeding. Now I am getting at most 0.5 every feeding. She doesn’t feel bloated. Yes to all the yes/no questions. And she has developed diarrhea 2 days ago before that it was normal.

Yes I was using that one. Unfortunately the baby did not make it. Maybe she was just too young when I got her she gradually went down hill. She was eating good in the beginning and then slowly started going down hill. thank you for all the responses. I have 4 more healthy babies form another litter who are doing really good.

HELP! i have a pinky that looks like this. was 17-18g 5 days ago. wednesday and thursday he was eating fine. was feeding FV 32/40 but i also have GME. i've been feeding slowly with a 0.5cc miracle o-ring slip tip and the miracle mini nipple. he's aspirated so i gave LD of Cipro last night and normal dose this morning. i've made the homemade rehydration fluid but the baby won't swallow. he is piddling great. how can i get this fluid in him???

How is this baby today? I agree with Sammy’s Mom. Pinkies can be persnickety and they lose ground very quickly.

I worry that the goats milk Esbilac May still have the issue with it from last fall. This baby is critical. Let us know what kind of help you need.
