My backyard has a big beautiful tree. I was standing under it watching the squirrels running around way up in the branches when I heard a crack and a few feet away a squirrel hit the ground with a very loud thump. It jumped up and ran away, and I managed to follow it until it scurried across a roof and into some trees. I'm kind of concerned because it fell at least 25 feet...
Then a few hours later I was in my kitchen, Windows open when I noticed a strange recurring sound. Once outside I started to follow it. It was a wheezing squawking kind of sound that repeated. I thought it might be the squirrel that fell earlier. I finally found the source - it was a black squirrel hanging upside down on a tree....not sure what's up with that but I've never seen a squirrel making that noise....any suggestions?
