Default Sick grey squirrel, need help!

My squirrel is about a year old, has been doing great until about 4 days ago, looks like she has a cold in her right eye, and has what I think is a cough, not active like usual, eats a little, and drinks, but just stays on or in her cage, when she is not in her box sleeping, which is a lot here lately. Any help would be appreciated!!

She eats fruit and veggies in the morning and evening, plus some walnuts and pecans and sunflower seeds, I give her picky squirrel rodent blocks but she doesn't eat much of them.

I can't post a pic but she keeps it closed most of the time, and rubs it, and the other eye is just as big and normal as it should be, when the bad eye is open its smaller and looks like a humans eye does when it has a cold in it. but she also has a cough or that's what I think it is, it could also be hipcups but its not all the time.

This has happened to her eye about 3-4 times, but she has also acted normal when it has. This time she just lays around and sleeps a lot, plus the cough.

, I give her picky squirrel rodent blocks but she doesn't eat much of them.

I suspect all the nuts in the diet and the lack of eating block has led to a calcium deficiency.
You very possibly are seeing the onset of metabolic bone disease due to the deficiency.
Does the "cold" in her eye appear as a white fluid? If so that is a squirrel's tears from pain.
How are her teeth? Could they be over grown? That is another area to consider.

I would suggest starting her on the treatment for MBD, if it's not mbd the treatment won't hurt.
If it is, the treatment will save her life.

Any chance you have a vet that will see her??

Do you have access to any ab's??

this may be Metabolic Bone Disease (MBD) caused
    by a lack of calcium.

I think her teeth are fine she knaws on deer antlers all the time. So what is the easiest way to get calcium in her, I have tums.

Scroll back and look at post #10, click on the link.
It will explain what you need to do for treatment.

This is the link https://www.henryspets.com/emergency-treatment-for-mbd/ from Henry's Healthy Pets that explains the MBD treatment in detail, and explains how much elemental calcium is in the different versions of tums.
It explains longterm treatment for MBD, and you can order their picky eaters rodent block to straighten out the diet.
Like stepnstone said, it won't hurt if MBD isn't the cause, but if it is it can safe your squirrel's life.
