Question Can grey squirrels eat these?

Can they eat pili nuts, passion fruit, and dragon fruit?

As with most nuts, the pili nut has an upside down ratio of calcium to phosphorus with 41.1mg calcium to 163mg of phosphorus. Definitely not ideal, I’d avoid giving them to a captive squirrel. Almonds and hazelnuts are better, but still should only be given as occasional treats.

Yes, I believe dragon fruit can be given to squirrels.

I’m not certain about passion fruit. I think most fruits are ok, but to be safe I wouldn’t give the skin or the seed.

Hopefully someone will post if they’ve ever fed passion fruit to their squirrel.
