No, I would not use the Amox/Clav if it is that old if you have options... it would not be very effective at this point. If you can get Baytril, I would use that.

You can get a kitchen scale at WalMart for around $15.00 and it is an important tool to have for raising squirrels.

I think HRT is saying the Amox/Clav would be better for an UTI than Amoxicillin, but I believe Baytril (if that is what you meant by "bactril") would be even better if you have that option. The human equivalent of Baytril (animal med) is Cipro... in case your mom is a human prescriber and not vet?

If what you mean by "Bactrin" is actually "Bactrim", however, that is SMZ and it is very slow to take effect, if at all, on a UTI. I would go with BAYTRIL, or Cipro. Just butting in to confuse everything .

So I took Larry to the vet bc it was taking too long to find the proper meds but I wanted to thank everyone for the advice on the UTI matter. The cream works wonders as well! Larry is back to 100% the rash and uti completely healed 🤗 Larry, Curly, and Moe are doing great 👍

What great news! Now, Mr. Wet Pants is just like his brothers.
Now, you need to have ‘that’ talk with him about leaving ‘it’ alone.
