Could someone with experience suggest a good camera for getting fuzzer close-ups when they're in the trees.

Must be easy to use, as in auto everything and with image stabilization (?) if there is such a thing. My hands shake pretty bad.

I use my I-phone now which does good for close ups but when I zoom in the shakes are terrible.

Also, reasonable! I don't ask for much do I? LOL!

    Thanks!

That is a tough order to fill. You probably are basically looking for one for the all-in-one "SuperZoom cameras. They come with either a fairly small 1/2 sensor or the better (but more expensive 1" sensor). An effective zoom lens of 600mm or more is preferable although 400mm will go a long way.

    In the 1"sensor camp:

In the 1/2" sensor camp but with an amazing 2000mm effective zoom:

    or another 1/2" sensor model:

On a tighter budget? for $279

If your budget is MUCH larger, than you could go for a DSLR with a zoom lens. But prices will start jumping to $500+ for body and anywhere from a few hundred for lens to many thousands of dollars.

Of course, if you search around, you can probably find these models used and while that has risks, the price will go down a LOT. There is a member here, tomcics, who gets superb close up photos with a superzoom type camera. You might try sending him a PM and see what he thinks? I use a DSLR type camera so if you want more info on that I can recommend some packages but they are more $$$.

    Thanks TD,

I figured it would be like it always is....you got research, stretch a budget and then the learning curve.

You gave me some things to look into. Appreciate it.
