    Default Possible Poisoning: Please help

Daisy is now showing some of the same symptoms as Luke did the day before. Slow lethargy, vomiting-- I'm worried that she got into whatever Luke got into, and he passed because of it. PLEASE help-- if there is a vet I can get my tiny girl to, please let me know-- she let me put her into the carrier, and even though she was able to eat her favorite blueberries, she was wobbly and moving slowly. Luke had passed not 24 hours later-- PLEASE HELP.

I have her next to me in a carrier wrapped up in fleeces. Bo is dragging his foot, but it looks like he might be okay still-- but I don't know.

I AM SO WORRIED. PLEASE HELP. I will drive them to whatever vet will take them and knows that whatever is making my poor Daisy ill might be the same thing that took my poor Luke. I will try to get Bo in the same carrier and take them both.

PLEASE HELP. I will wait for further instructions, but won't be able to leave the house for another 45 minutes but after that I can take them wherever they can be helped.

Flush with fluids. Whatever fluids possible are good to get her to take it.

Try to get as much water in her ASAP! You want to flush her system. Stimulate to pee, too.

The contact I gave you yesterday is at work till 9 tonight.
Unless you got ahold of Dan Johnson the only other option for vet after hours in Raleigh is Animal emergency hospital and urgent care 409 Vick Ave Raleigh. You will drop them off, they will contact a rehabber on their list to come pick up.
You will not get them back.

We are home. Daisy has made it this far.

She was possibly suffering from physical shock-- Dr Dan found scratches and some bruising on her belly. She squeaked a little when handled. He didn't think it was poison.

Pushed fluids, nutrition, anti-inflammatory and gave her something for the pain. Lungs and heart are good.

She and Bo are both back inside in different enclosures, but with heating pads under one corner.

Please continue to pray for Daisy and Bo both.

    Will update in the morning.

Good for Daisy. Glad she was seen.
How about Bo's foot? If it's broken it starts to calcify in 24 hours...your window of opportunity is closing.

    Morning update:

Daisy made it through the night. This morning she had two of her favorite blueberries, then the nutrient paste I mixed for her. She drank up her anti-inflammatory medicine (it tastes like peanut butter) and was still dainty enough to clean her paws and her whiskers before lying back down. She is having difficulty sitting upright, and was definitely leaning while she ate, slowly sort of falling over-- but again, she powered through and tidied herself up a bit before lying down. She had little mini-spasms in her midsection-- they didn't seem to hurt her (no squeaking or squirming) but it only lasted for a few minutes.

She was sleeping quietly until she got really active all of a sudden-- apparently she had to go potty, and didn't want it to be where she was curled up-- so after she relieved herself on my desk and squirmed around a bit more, I brought downstairs and placed her back in her enclosure. She curled back up and lay down, I will go check on her again in a few.

    --

Bo is looks at me defiantly when I try to check in on him. I'm pretty sure if I reach in to touch him, he'll try to bite me-- I'm guessing partially because of pain and partially because he's a little wilder than Daisy. There was a little bit of teeth gnashing, but no growling or clicking. I already figure I'll have to put on my puncture-proof gloves and scoop him into a carrier when it's time to go to the vet.

At this point, I'm waiting to hear back from Milo's Mom's contact-- if I he can be seen today I will bring him in as soon as I can. If I can't get him in with them, I'll see about calling Dr. Dan again and getting in BEFORE it's after-hours. While I know he's eating and relieving himself, I am worried about his foot and pain issues. I'm reasonably certain it's a sprain-- I've had enough of them to suspect that's what the issue is, but until I can get him to the vet I can't know for sure.

    Update on Daisy:

Just figured I'd let people know that she seems to have turned a corner last night and is MUCH "squirrelier" today. All day she has been bright eyed and bushy-tailed, hopping around a little like she did in the old days. When she does, I can see the terrible bruising on her underbelly.

She still wobbles a lot and has difficulty sitting up when she eats. She also has a funny "twitch" sometimes that look like micro-seizures; it's a little early to tell, but I'll keep an eye on her.

She is back to gladly accepting fruit and block and eating daintily on her own again, even if she wobbles and falls over a few times while doing it.

Mods: If you'd like to move this thread now that she seems a little better, please do so.

All: THANK YOU for the prayers. Your thoughts and well-wishes are surely what made all the difference.

    Love to you!
