Default Clicking noise - aspiration pneumonia

I have a baby flyer 7-8 weeks estimated...I’m feeding fox valley through a 3cc syringe and Henry’s blocks...she eats very well and is very active. I hear that clicking noise when she sleeps and can hear it occasionally when I hold her to my ear. She ways 34 grams. What do I need to do? I’m very worried about her! Please respond

Hi Aimee, has she gotten lethargic or fussy about eating her formula? Do you have any antibiotics in case? If she has AP you WILL notice those symptoms.

No she has been drinking anywhere from 2-3 cc of formula. She eats really well, but when shes done shes refuses anymore. I also give her peices if HHB and she eats those fine. Im new to squirrels , she sleeps during the day has about a 15-20 min energy burst and then will sleep again. I have a vet that can give me the oral baytril but she is not familiar with treating squirrels. She weighs 35 grams, how do I give it? Dosage? Etc...is there anything else I can do? Thnk you so much for responding. I rescued her from a tree that had been cut down and have had her for 3 weeks now. She is pooping and peeing fine.

How long has she had the on and off clicking? She sounds like she is eating the right amt of food. For a first time squirrel mom sounds you are doing awesome! Get
The Baytril and if it seems like she needs it we can dose.

Maybe a week? I thought is was just a content sound. Today was the first time I realized she was doing it when she was awake my husband should be here in 30 minutes with the baytril. So so worried! What dosage? Should I mix it with formula?

AP acts very quickly. If she has AP for a week she would be gone by now.

Do you think I should give her the baytril as a precaution? I definitely hear the noise when she breathes.
