    Default Scratchy 6 week olds

My babies have been scratching a lot lately, no fleas. Dry skin or mites? Anything I can use to calm it down?

How old are the babies, what are they being kept (housed) in?
What are you washing their laundry in?
Dry skin? What does the condition of their skin look like?
    Mites? Possible and treatable.
Can you post a picture of these babies?

They look great!! They are in a box half on heating pad. 6 weeks old. Laundry is washed in vinegar to keep away detergents. They were brought to me at 3 weeks old with fleas. I bathed them in dawn and warm water. Been good til now. How can I tell if it is dry skin or mites?

When you say "box" are you speaking of cardboard?
Cardboard draws moisture and it can draw moisture from babies,
this is why a plastic type bin is always recommended.

Vinager is a good disinfectant but personally I wouldn't wash their laundry
solely in it, orignal blue unscented Dawn is safe for wildlife and deep cleans.

Depending on type mite one may not always see them as some are microscopic.
Normally there is an indication to suggest mites, that's not to say obsessive itching
is not one of them but they almost always leave a tell such as red dry itchy skin,
fur thinning, bald spots, a crusty appearance around ears are a few of the signs
    normally observed with mites.

Tuperware box. With a screen on top to keep them safe and ventilated. I have used towels with Oxy Clean detergent until I was told vinegar was better to clean their linin with than detergents. There fur and skin is beautiful silky and no balding or crusting anywhere.
